The North American Old Catholic Church is led in in a Synod fashion.
The Synod of Bishops is any bishop, whether in active ministry or retired. The synod deals with spiritual matters, and keeper of the Code of Canon Law which is how the church governs itself, spiritually and corporately.
The Executive Committee is any clergy, regardless of rank, that supervises a ministry and has “ordinary jurisdiction” (day to day) supervision over.
These include people Vicars General, Seminary Rector, Abbots, Abscesses and Major Superiors of religious life.
The Corporate Board of Directors is made up of both Ordained and Laity from our various parishes and missions. They deal with the fiduciary and legal matters as required by law.
Church Leaders

Our Presiding Bishop, Michael Seneco, was elected in Synod first in 2007, and again in 2020.
The Archbishop is responsible for the day to day running of the corporate church, and being the spiritual leader for the clergy and the faithful. A published author and columnist, the archbishop assists us with being the Light in the Darkness.
In his other work, he is a subject matter expert at the federal level on disaster and terrorism, and the transportation of organs for human transplantation. He has worked in healthcare and public safety at all levels for 39 years.
Originally from Connecticut, He lives in the DC metro area with husband of 20 years, and their four adopted adult children.
Bishop-Elect Tim Johnson is the senior priest in the denomination, having been ordained 16 years ago.
He serves the church as the Vicar General, Vicar for Finance/CFO and is the Dean of New England, overseeing our clergy and ministry in the Northeast.
A life long public servant, he is an advanced EMT, Firefighter, Public Safety and Hospital Chaplain and the Former Wing Commander for the Air Force Auxiliary Force – The Civil Air Patrol.
His consecration to Bishop is scheduled for late 2025, after which he will be installed as Bishop-Coadjutor.
He lives in Massachusetts with his wife Katelyn.



Father David Ellner, RN, BSN is our Church Archivist, Seminary Leader and Director of Cemetery acquisition and management.
A lifelong public servant, Father is a retired officer (Lt.) from the US Public Health Service and former Critical Care Firefighter/Paramedic. He is now a Registered Nurse in the US Veteran’s Administration Medical Center system.
Born and raised in the bedroom. communities of New York and Connecticut, he curently resides in the New Haven CT metro region with his wife Abby, and his two sons Ben and Silas.

Deacon George Peet serves the Church as the Archdeacon.
Archdeacon is a historic position, in which the Archdeacon represtents the Office of the Presiding Bishop as required at meetings, conferences and other events as required.
Locally, his ministry is serving the homeless and forgotten. Deacon Peet is often found cooking in soup kitchens, on the streets at night handing out food, drinks blankets and kind words and prayers. Additionally, he is the director of the Old Catholic Priests Benevolence Fund, which provides financial assistance to clergy of the church.
He participates in an social ministry program called Laundry Love, where local ministers and volunteers rent a laundromat and provide for free cloth washing and drying for the homeless.
A life long public servant, he is the retired director of 911 Emergency Communications Center for a mid sized Southern New England City. He grew up as a farmer, and has returned to his family farm and operates a antique clock repair shop. He is a nationally known Horologist, reminding us that time is our companion in life, teaching us to cherish every moment, as they will never come again.
His lives with his Husband Manny, and his 2 English bulldog terriers.
Mr. Manny Son is our National Director of Music and National Cantor. A professionally trained singer, he brings the Holy Spirit to all of us as he sings praises to God.
He also serves the church as our Social Media influencer in FB Reels, TikTok, BlueSky, X, and of course, the ‘Gram.
A tireless social justice warrior and social workker, he has also worked in and managed some of the finest restaurants in Philly, NYC and New England.
He lives in CT with his husband George.


Ms. Phyllis Martino sits on our Corporate Board of Directors.
From Connecticut, she is currently one of the most successful Realtors in New England, clearing 3+ millon dollars in sales in 2024.
Previously, she was a food quality control and franchise inspectors for an international quick service chain with stores worldwide.
She has one adult son, Jonathan.
